This is where I worked today. I was (as most sundays) working in Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I am usually lent out to other areas/stores and today I got to work in Land of the Dragons. That is the kiddie area for the smaller ones that can't go on the rides. I like working in their souvenir store. I like to interact with all the kiddies.

This is the tree house. There are slides, rides and water all the things kids love.

Today was pretty uneventfull, sleeping, homework, watching soccer (well 1 game) and working. I did get a call from the hostfamily that was interested in the Au pair and the Host mom said their meeting went great and she loved her. Then later on I talked to the au pair and she likes her as well. So looks like we may be good to go there.

So I am ready for bed. I am going to real quick answer your comments on yesterdays blog and then hit the sack.

soccer is a great sport and the world cup is the ultimate tournament. where else can a country like Angola and Ghana compete with world powerhouses. think of some of the great countries that didn't make it, and you'll realize how soccer transcends geo-politics. yes, Brazil always dominates, but if money and size meant everything, how can one explain the lackluster showing of France, the USA, and others? thanks for the great blog, we seem to share a lot in common.

well you are american so you are allowed not to like soccer.

Well sometimes you just have to do something different. Come and visit if you can, good luck with all your plans

Have you thought about myspace - you can upload your songs and get the word out

JD - You got it right. I like soccer, I am following the games via german radio station over the internet. I loved Ghanas game on saturday. I hope they beat the US and move on.

Katy, you'd be surprised how many Americans now love soccer. Group E is the most exciting group in the whole tournament. every one of the teams can still move on with a win. that is awesome for the fans.

i grew up in Europe, so yeah, i'm a huge fan, but my kids, who are totally American, are probably even more fanatical about the game. my son calls me with updates for each game when i'm at work, lol.

Katy: Post a pic of a nice veggie dish from the restaurant...please?! I want food porn, tooooooooo!!!

jd: You do realize that your profile pic is of Rose McGowan, right?
In fact...if I had to wager anything...I'd say that particular shot came from 'The Doom Generation'....(One of my all-time faves, BTW)

Oh my, that looks like a tree house full of fun.

Did I hear Doom Generation. I picked up a copy of that film, have yet to watch it though.

JD- I do think Soccer is winning on popularity in the US. I have to say I was surprised to see that here it is more of a girls sport. (in germany girls are to be at the side lines waiting to take their man home ofter he celebrate their win/lost.

Jin - I am working tomorrow night and will see what I can do.

Real - yeah the tree house looks totally fun. I can't wait to have kids so I can play there (my husbands nieces are to old)
