Finally got a better picture of Sassy looking over the fence
Grumpy and I went and saw Evan Almighty which was really funny. I love that we have been able to go back to seeing movies once a week. We used to do that when we were just hanging out as friends. Then it was Sunday afternoons - now its Wednesday afternoon. After that I headed to the bookstore to meet the AP's. I was surprised to see how many showed up as only three had not made it to Sundays meeting. So now its off to do homework.
Well it seems the weather was on our side. The rain stopped long enough for people to get to the park and in the shelter. Grumpy even got the grill going and all the sausages and hot dogs where eaten in a heart beat. It ended up being 5 families with kids and 10 of the APs. The kids had a ball running around and enjoying each others company.
Grumpy left a bit before me so he could go and take a nap since he came from work 
(9pm-2am & 6am -2pm) straight to be grill master at the meeting. We were to finally go see Spidey but I couldn't get him up till hours after the show was over so we are going to do that this afternoon. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

When Grumpy stopped by my office earlier today I asked him if he wanted to go to the German restaurant for dinner but he said he'd rather go to the movies. So after looking at whats playing we settled on Blood and Chocolate. It was a pretty good movie from the makers of Underworld. The End kind of sucked there was a lot of potential there that had not been explored but otherwise there are a lot worse movies one can spend 90 min watching especially if you enjoy reading authors like Charlaine Harris or Laurell Hamilton. Now there were no sex scenes but then there were not that many in Underworld either. I liked it because the wolves where shapechangers much like in Harris's stories with Sookie rather than half human creatures that Hamilton introduced us to in her Anita Blake series. BTW if you like the Sookie stories from Harris HBO is coming up with a show (True Blood) based on the series. I can't wait to see it. I hope they stay true to the books.

es I saw this photobooth. Since when I was in the age where most American girls go to these and take pictures with their friends I was in East Germany and there were none of these. I have never done it with a boyfriend either - I saw it in American movies and TV shows. Anyhow after the movie I told Grumpy I wanted to go do it. Since I rarely volunteer for photos he said yes. We opted for the one picture with background and this one was the least stupid one we could fine. Enlarge it and check out my dolphin with sunglasses scrubs :)
Here is all my change that I had dumped on a tray this was December 7th. Looks pretty good doesn't it. I had a lot less this year because the restaurant I am working at does not cash out our credit card tips every night - we get them in our paychecks once a week.
Well this is what it looks like when its all sorted. I had over $108 in coins and Grumpy had $40 something (he had to break into it a couple times this year since it was a bad year financially). But anyhow this is more then enough to work with.
Here are Grumpy and Mac on Christmas eve. I still can't believe that Mac weights 146 pounds. Sassy weighs excactly 1/2 of that.

She is going back home on Tuesday and while she is excited about going home, she seemed pretty sad about leaving. I have to say I am sad about seeing her go as well. She was one of my great au pairs that I will miss alot.

Better? Do you see him now? He is a cutie and very friendly.Well I hoped for more interesting stories to tell from this weekend but there really was nothing special to report. I went to work at Busch Gardens, the park was packed but most people were nice and had fun. After getting off I rushed home to finish cleaning the house on case anyone showed for the BBQ. Well noone did, well my friend Paula and her sister came by but headed on to another party. So Grumpy and I decided to go and see the Da Vinci Code. It was a great movie. Grumpy did try to distract me which my outfit made easy but I still got to see most of it. Today was great I did absolutely NOTHING. I just hung out at home with the kitties and doggies. It is very rare for me not to have to work one of my 4 jobs so I savor it when ever I can. Unfortunately Grumpy had to work so we could not go and take the doggies to the beach but we will one of these days.
I did get to chat with my friend from Switzerland today, she is coming over in July. She is going to visit the family whose au pair we both where.
*(I was the families au pair and Evelyn was in my group but with another family. We became realy good friends and hung out together all the time. When my year was finished my family decided that they do not need an aupair anymore. After my year was finished I went to travel for a bit and when I got back I found out that Evelyn had been kicked out by her family. She had only a few months left and her chances to find another family were slim to none. So I mentioned it to my Host Family and they decided to take her in. So Evelyn became their au pair. We both have kept in touch with one another and with the family.)*
I happen to have a meeting in Chicago while she is there. So I am planning to fly up a couple of days early and we have been talking about visiting Jin's store. I am so excited coffee, cake and good friends it will be awsome.
