Frohe Weihnachten - Merry Christmas
Just a quick note to wish you all a very merry Christmas. Here are the pups in front of our tree. As you can see they can't wait for their presents. Lucky for them we are celebrating the German traditions and Santa comes Christmas eve so they do not have to wait much longer.Misty decided that her new favorite place is under the tree with all the blinking lights above.

Keep your fingers crossed
I have a little but very important request - please keep your fingers crossed for tomorrow (Dec11) - someone very dear to me is having brain surgery which will determine if she can have the surgery that would "cure" her epilepsy and allow her to live a normal life. Erin was the youngest of the kids whose Au pair I used to be many years ago.If you want to read her story got to http://www.caringbridge.org/

December 1st
Well its that time of the year again - when you hear about HIV/AIDS again. To bad this does not happen throughout the year. There are still people being infected every year in a disease that we know how to prevent infection. That is very disturbing to me. I have lost a lot of people to this disease in the early years. These days with the medication out people can live long lives - if they can afford the meds and tolerate the side effects. I find it sad that these days people accuate HIV with having diabetes and so do not take the precautions they should as they dont see at as an automatic death sentence anymore. While I think its great we can treat the infection I still think preventing it in the first place is more important. So lets remember those that died and are still dying all over the world.
